An evaluation is the first step.  There is an evaluation form that is part of this packet. Whenever possible, the evaluation form should be filled out and returned via (email or in person) 3 days prior to the first session. If this is not possible, the evaluation process could last from 1 to 2 sessions. During this time, a decision can be made if I am the best person to provide the services needed in order to meet counseling session goals. If counseling is begun, I will usually schedule one 45-minute session (one appointment of 45 minutes duration) per week at a time that is  agreed on, although some sessions may be longer or more frequent. My time is very valuable and once an appointment is scheduled, you will be expected to pay $20 unless you provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation [unless we both agree that you were unable to attend due to circumstances beyond your control]. I will try to find another time to reschedule the appointment.
